Item is slightly different than picture February 14, 2006 gabe (university of california, berkeley, ca, usa) 12 out of 13 found this review helpful
I just received this case in the mail today. This is the second one I have bought off of amazon (this exact item), but this one was not exactly the case described and pictured above. It had a cardboard sleeve/carton wrapped around it that also described and pictured this item as it appears above. The cardboard wrapper didn't match the item in it. I like the new design better though. It looks nicer, the Koskin material is slightly brown, but just barely (it looks black until you inspect it closely). The Handle is more secure, actually attached inside the material. THE ONLY BAD DIFFERENCE IS THAT THE 16 SLOTS IN THE FRONT OF THE CASE AREN'T REMOVABLE, LIKE THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE. I own the other case (the one described and picture above), and the removable 16 CD folder is pretty handy. Otherwise, I'm happy with the changes and will not return it. In fact, I'm ordering another one!! BUT, AMAZON SHOULD CHANGE THEIR DESCRIPTION.

I have hundreds of CDs in several albums. As things were added randomly, most of the CDs are out of order, and finding anything is a severe pain. This album solves that, and I'm about to replace all my existing albums with it. Each page can be removed and rearranged, so CDs can be added to appropriate pages and then the pages can be added to albums in appropriate order. I'm cautiously optimistic about the handle - it's been ok for me so far, and hopefully will be better than the handle on the album I just threw away (which was more rigidly attached and which ripped off after a few months). Like all cases of the sort, standard CD liner notes fit, but larger notes and the backs of the CD liner have to be folded or rotated and hang out of the pocket. However, the quick-access thingy at the front is removable, and larger items can be stuck behind it, treating it as a pocket.
Why all the fuss? August 29, 2008 Lance 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Ok, I almost didn't get this because of all the bad reviews, but I'm glad I did. Maybe it's not the same as the old version and maybe it's not as good, I don't know because I've never owned the old version, but this one is great. It feels sturdy, looks nice, and does its job. One complaint I saw over and over was that it had brown stitching as opposed to black. Personally, I love the brown stitching. It seems to give it a more retro appearance. Don't worry about the negative reviews. They are all from people who owned the first version. If this is the first time you're buying this one, you won't regret it.
Don't believe the negative reviews, this is a great buy! November 16, 2008 Kate 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I got this free with my pepsi points, and at first was hesistant to do so because of some of the negative reviews. However, I am so glad I got it - it is a great product! There is plenty of room for my CDs, and the pages can be removed and moved around at will. Mine seems very sturdy and well crafted, and it looks nice. Don't believe the negative reviews, this is great!
Nice binder! January 28, 2008 Catherine L. Graves (Mitchell, SD) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a great sturdy binder. The width of it on a bookshelf is a little overwhelming... but I suppose it's worth it since it holds 336 CD/DVDs. Great product!
